We just returned from 10 days of playing pickleball in Flordia…in July. As you would expect, all the players were welcoming and friendly. I quickly learned a few lessons about playing in the heat and humidity.

1. Bring at least 1 extra t-shirt. My cotton t-shirt was drenched within 15 minutes of playing.

2. Bring plenty of water, electrolytes, etc… I started having a banana before each session, which seemed to help.

3. Take breaks in between games. By the last day, I could stick it out until no one was left to play.

4. Stock up on grip tape. I had to replace all my grips after the trip.

There’s no better time to stock up on grip tape and pickleball supplies than Amazon Prime Day.
